Positivity in Culture : I+U+

Back in IIM Lucknow, one of our professors - Payal Mehra mam spoke about different human psychological types based on how they perceive themselves and others around them. I have reproduced the chart that she explained in the picture below. It is a version of transactional analysis by Eric Berne. I+ means "I am good", I- means "I am not good". Likewise, U+ means "You are good" and U- means "You are not good". It should be noted that these personality types may be temporary and change based on times, people, circumstances, etc. However, the underlying tendency is longer lasting than the transient state.
